Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to All

We have one heck of a 2009!

Our little Addyson is almost 4 now. She is such a delight! She loves to be a little girl wear nothing but dresses and have her nails painted. She is getting smarter by the day! I sure enjoy spending the days with her while Ethan is at school.

Ethan is now in 1st grade he is reading like a champ! It amazes me at how smart he really is. I shouldn't say amazes me it scares me really he is just a great kid. He is growing so fast and learning so much I just wish the time would move slower! He loves to play the wii and any game he can think of.

I am working at the hospital in IF as a monitor tech. I work 3 nights a week. It is really nice to be able to get away but boy am I tired all the time. But it is worth that to only have to be away during the night when my children are asleep. I am still doing Photography I have my busy months and my slow months. I have stayed really busy during the holidays so that is really nice. I hope someday I can just do that full time.

Ryan boy o boy has he has a year. My sweet husband was a stay at home Dad for the most part this year. Just as he was getting things lined up to start up his own buisness again (he had several jobs lined up ready to go) he was in a bad accident. That happened in May and he broke his neck in to spots and broke his arm. He was layed up for nearly the entire summer. A neck brace kept him warm durnign to 100 degree weather. The good news about the neck was that he was able to get out of the brace nearly a month early. What a blessing as soon as he got out of the brace we took advantage of the situation. We took a couple of trips to Boise and played our hearts right out. It was alot of fun to celebrate his new freedom. He still hurts and we are told it will take a long time to start to feel better. We take it as is comes. After he broke his neck a realized that being a carpenter full time was not an option and that he needed more time to heal. He decided to return to school and go into the Desiel Program at ISU. We decided that would give him more skills and he would be able to take the time to heal. He has done really well and pulled straight A's for the semester. He did come down with Cellulitis in his leg a couple of weeks ago and has been down and out with IV antibiotics daily. We just got him switched to oral meds today. I hope they stay on top of it and that he is able to heal.

Our biggest news of the year is that we are expecting a baby girl in Feburary around Valentines day. Although we were not expecting her we are sure excited for her to get here. We are so blessed to be able to have her come to us. No name yet but we are working on it!

We know the Lord gives us trials and we know they happen for a reason we have had several trials lately and we know we will be stronger as a family in the end. With those trails have come so many many blessings it is hard to see them sometimes and we do get down but I know that we are loved and that the Lord has a plan for us. This year has strenghtend my testemony of our church so much I have seen the blessings that have been shared with us along with the trials that have brought me closer to the church. I have not been very active for many years and I know that the Lord works in mysterious ways, I have had to rely on the Priesthood that my father has and through his father's blessings I have been able to have the strength that I have needed through the trials that we have faced. I know that we will have blessing beyond compare if we can get through the trials of now.

2010 has to be a better year for us and we are so excited to start it out with the blessing of a new child to come.

We wish all of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND AN AWESOME 2010!

Health Update

Good news first!
I went to see the Doctor today for my 30 1/2 week appointment. Our little girl is doing well. Seems to be growing and doing fine heart rate today 144! Wow cannot believe she will be here soon! I lost weight from my last appointment 1/2 pound so that was good news for me so total weight gain has been 4 1/2 pounds. Love it although I told my doctor if I gained the typical 30 lbs I would be a whale! So I am very greatful for just 4 1/2 pounds. Due to that no belly pics cause most of the time you really cannot tell I am pregnant! Good for me I suppose!

On to Ryan, so he has been fighting the cellulitis now since Tuesday last week so 6 days. Nothing is getting better but seems to be staying the same. He has been getting some big dog IV antibiotics once a day. He is on Invanz and Cubicin. We went into Dr. Packer today he is new to us. I have met him in the hospital and have been impressed with him he reminds me a little of our Dr. in Pocatello Dr. Holmstead. So I made an appointment with him and got Ryan in there. I was fairly impressed with him. He stepped into this situation not really knowing where the starting point was but we came up with a game plan. We will now not have to deal with the ER docs at all Dr. Packer will follow all Ryan's IV treatments and will follow the progress. I am so relieved to have some one to go to for questions. Ryan is trying to finish finals and get by until Chirstmas break hopefully that will give him some much needed R&R. Dr. Packer says we could be looking at another 2 weeks of Daily treatments which means no traveling for the holidays bummer. I just pray that everything works out ok and we will get through this.

On to Ryans mother. She is in Surgery for her kidneys as I write this. We hope all goes okay. I hope that she will be able to get past all these Kidney issues and will be able to focus on other things and feel better.

We are hoping that 2010 brings better health for us and a healthy Baby Girl! Still no name yet but we have discussed a few and are narrowing it down.

Just Another Bump in Our Road

Okay so I have decided that Ryan and I if we have luck at all it is always bad luck we just have no good luck! To give an update we have been doing well. I am working at the hospital and doing my photography! Ryan has been going to school in Pocatello 5 days a week! He has had perfect attendance and is doing amazing in his courses! Well Monday night he got home from school 5 minuets prior to me needing to leave for work, he was limping pretty bad and I asked him what he had done. He said nothing that I know of. I thought bull crap you did something but you just won't tell me. So he showed me his leg and it was extremely swollen and warm to the touch. I just wasn't sure what to think. I said well it is either a torn ligament or maybe you have some cellulitis in it, I didn't think of a blood clot. Well I had to get to work so I told him try to make it through the night and I will get you into someone in the morning. He agreed. Well about Midnight I got a call from him and he was almost in tears because of the pain. I have only seen Ryan cry because of pain one other time and that was when he broke is neck. So I knew he hurt. I was busy when he called and I told him to hold on let me think for a minuet and I will call you back. Well he called me back and told me he was coming into the ER. His sister (bless he heart) came in to stay with the kids. I met him in the ER and stayed until they took him to ultrasound. I went back upstairs and waited to hear what was going on. Well come to find out he did not have a blood clot but rather cellulitis in his leg. They kept him until I was off work and was able to take him home. He now is going in for daily IV antibiotics for I am not sure how long but I hope they do the trick. Poor guy just can't catch a break it is the week before finals and he had to miss school for two days. The doctor told him not to go back until he was released from him but Ryan is going to try to go tomorrow so that he has a shot and doing well on his final. I can't say I blame him to much. I just don't understand why this has to happen to us! I know what I am sounding like but gosh can't we get a break! The Lord has blessed us and I know that but I am trying to see the good that will come out of our 2009 events, It is really hard to see the good right now. Anyway keep Ryan in your prayers and I hope he recovers fast!
